How long can it take to lose your love handles?

I’m a 19, 5′6, 150pound male. I’m pretty fit and muscular, other than the bit of belly fat and love handles I have, but I’m not at all fat or have a "beer gut". Anyway, I’ve began to change up my diet and start working out a bit more to burn off the little bit of belly fat and love handles. I know it depends on my diet and how much I exercise, so heres just a brief example of what I’ve began doing. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day, veggies with every meal, less red meat and more fish (tuna/salmon), weight training, and interval cardio 4-5 times a week, usually in the morning. I’ve done alot of reading online, and I’ve read some people saying they lost their love handles in 12 weeks, some say they’ve been working out for 1-2 years and still have them, confusing stories to me but I don’t think it would take that long to lose them if you stick to your plan correct? So my question is, approximately how long will it take to lose your love handles with the right diet and exercise/cardio? Also if anyone has some suggestions on other diet or exercise tips, I’d appreciate it. Most of my information is from online sources =P. Thanks in advance.

Your a boy right? its usually easier for boys to get rid of these kinds of things. I have luv handles also but they have already gone down after a week of exercize… A ten minute ab routine, smaller portion meals and cardio about 4 times a week. Everyone is different so just keep up with what your doing cardio is very important (at least 45min a day) and do ab routines every day or everyother day…get an exercize video for your abs so that its easier to stay consistant….also change up your cardio workouts (running, jogging, swimming, cycling, jumprope) change them from day to day to get the best results and up your workout time each week :) hope it helps i think you will loose a desent amount by the end of the month…dont get discouraged and keep on trying :)

O and focus on your obliques when you do ab workouts…so do bicycles and different variations of side crunches :)

How did you lose your love handles?

My trouble area are my love handles, the fat on my sides and lower back. What have you done to lose that weight without losing weight anywhere else, or what advice do you have on how one might go about doing that? Thanks!

Having the same problem.. I’m losing stomach fat but the love handles, they won’t budge.
